About the Author
 Doris Gray was born in 1949 in Spring Valley, Illinois. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management from the University of Phoenix. Doris enjoyed a successful career in banking that spanned more than thirty years. In conjunction with the sudden, tragic loss of her husband Alan in 2002, Doris discovered a new and deeply profound level of spirituality. She is convinced that the many coincidences that occurred around and after the loss of Alan were signs from him. Doris also believes that he transcended death and continues to exist in spirit form, watching over her and guiding her. Those experiences eventually were shaped into her first book, Signs of Alan. Since leaving her corporate position in 2003, she has found her passion not only in writing, but in volunteering. She is most passionate about issues encompassing domestic violence, sexual assault, real choices for women faced with an unexpected pregnancy, adult illiteracy, and the promotion and preservation of bluegrass music. She has dedicated fifty percent of the net profits from the sale of Signs of Alan to charity. Doris resides in Boulder, Colorado. |
